The curriculum consists of 8 subject groups integrated through 6 interactive areas providing global contexts for learning.
The MYP builds on the knowledge, skills and attitudes previously developed in the Early Years and the PYP.
The MYP addresses holistically students’ intellectual, social, emotional and physical well-being.
It provides students with opportunities to develop the knowledge, attitudes and skills they need in order to manage complexity and take responsible action for the future ensuring breadth and depth of understanding through study in eight subject groups.
The programme also requires the study of at least two languages (language of instruction and additional language of choice) to support students in understanding their own cultures and those of others.
Finally it empowers students to participate in service within the community helps to prepare students for further education, the workplace and a lifetime of learning.
In their final year students will also undertake an independent personal project to demonstrate development of their skills and understanding.
